1988 Ritchey Annapurna

Back Home Up Next

The Annapurna sits at the top of the Ritchey line-up and was produced in relatively small numbers.  Extra pieces of shaped tubing were brazed on at the head tube and seat tube areas and then fillet brazed.  This gives a semi-lugged effect and reinforces the frame at a couple of the high stress joints.  A fillet brazed fork and stem complement the frame while Shimano Deore XT components handle the shifting duties.  WTB supplied the Roller Cam brakes and Grease Guard hubs.  The Bullseye crank looks a little clunky when compared to the other more elegant components but that was what the original owners speced on the bike so we left it.  Overall, a very nice example of a top frame builders to model.
