1991 Cannondale SE1000

Back Home Up Next

First year for the Cannondale E.S.T. (Elevated Suspension Technology) rear suspension design.  Front suspension duties were handled by a Girvin Flex stem.  With a movable swing arm, rear brake cable stops became a problem.  Cannondale's solution was the Force 40 system which was claimed to increase stopping power by 40% while eliminated the rear cable stop issues.  This bike has similar parts to original but is not a stock bike.
