1991 Manitou

Back Home Up

This is from a relatively early batch of Doug Bradbury built Manitou bikes.  The construction is pretty straight forward with pie cuts in the seat stays to form the bend and square tubing for chain stays.  There are extra gussets around the head tube and bottom bracket that are somewhat reminiscent of Cunninghams.  The fork is an early Manitou before they went to the numbering system for models.  The fork has a Magura-specific brace with tabs to brace the brake calipers and the frame has through-guides for the hydraulic lines.  Hubs appear to have Bullseye flanges with custom centers to get 115mm front and 145mm rear spacing.  This bike has a lot of neat features so there are 2 separate photo galleries below.
