1985 Fisher Prototype

This bike is part of the MOMBAT collection and is NOT FOR SALE.  Please check out our Vintage Bikes for Sale page to see all of our current offerings.

This frame and fork were built to test different combinations of bike geometry.  The bottom bracket can be raised and lowered approximately 3/4" to test different bottom bracket heights.  Likewise, the front wheel can be moved for and aft by 3/4" to alter the offset and rake of the bike.  This can be accomplished in mid-ride with just a single Allen wrench.  Parts build is typical mid 1980's Fisher with Shimano M700 Deore XT brakes/levers/front derailleur and shifters, Dura Ace cassette hubs and Shimano 600 series rear derailleur/crank and headset.
